Hello everyone, it's been a long time since I've written anything for RR, and it is way past due. I hope to continue to put out a "State of the Reign" at least monthly, if not more often.
We have been alpha testing the :classic: stream for a little over 15 days now, and things have not gone smoothly as I had hoped. Something with running the second station stream on our audio server has been causing it to crash, I suspect this has to do with the old software we were running, vs the new software we invested in for the main stream of Reign Radio. I've contacted the maker of the new software and they have graciously given me a short term license to test their software for the :classic: stream, so far so good, but it has not been long enough to be certain that it will run without crashing. I know the bandwidth is set pretty low on the stream right now, if we get through the hurdles and can keep it from crashing I plan on bumping it up a little bit.
On a personal note, I must say how happy I am to have Reign Radio back online. Taking the station offline was a very hard decision I had to make, and at sometime I plan on posting a little more on the why behind that decision. I would also like to ask for your prayers, prayer for wisdom in decisions we make in running the stations, prayer for finances, prayer for the stations to be used to minister to people who are lost or just need encouragement.
I am not one to beg for money, which is maybe a fault of mine, but if you are so led, we could use financial support. We are currently paying about $120 a month for licensing and bandwidth fees, as we continue to grow and more people tune in those costs will increase. Also if the new software works out, we will need to invest about $200 in that to continue running the second stream. Those of you who have recently supported, thank you! I am sorry I have not personally thanked you for it yet.
