Hey all rockers out there in cyberspace. God is awesome! Wanted to say hello.

So far I like 99% of this station! Its a good mix - but what I dont like is when bands take someone else's song and put their own lyrics in it. Thats it though the rest is real good. (e.g. Downer of a Sister, that song was written by System of a Down, I cant remember the band who stole it)

I am 26, play guitar, love God as much as I can, and like coffee and energy drinks. My favorite bands are Demon Hunter, Killswitch Engage, and Sevendust. (although the latter two would be considred "secular" I find plenty of spirituality in them!)

Im really new to the Christian metal scene - God took music out of my life for quite a while. Had to bust an idol I suppose. But He gave it back to me ten times what I would have expected.

Really looking forward to hearing some new Christian bands on this station and look forward to meeting YOU!

Till then, shalom.

Hi Lane,

I wanted to comment on the band that did the parody of the System Of A Down Song. The band is called Apologetix and they are really good at what they do(Parodys). They are the "Wierd Al Yankovic" of Christian Rock. They do parodys for a ton of songs from many different artists. They just change the Lyrics so that they glorify God and so that we as Christians can listen without guilt. They don't pick songs to parody based on if the song is good or evil, rather it is more based on popularity. If you read the lyrics of the songs, they usually talk about certain events in the Bible. For example the "Enter Sandman" song from Metallica was changed to "Enter Samson" and it talks about the life of Samson. Its really cool how they get the lyrics to fit the song really well capturing the flow of the original artists. It's all done in good fun. Again, they are not poking fun at most of the bands they parody.

God Bless
Joe H.
