Any of you dudes or dudettes check out Demon Hunter yet? It is a rockin cd. Kind of melodic scream metal. Not really the best in your face with gospel content, but there still are some good messages in there about the gospel. This cd really smokes. Let me know what y'all think. Peace

Greetings,
Hey I checked out Demon Hunter on mp3.com, downloaded a couple of songs for my roommate to check out. Great to hear more Christian rock that doesn't suck.
Well then I linked to their website where they have a link to send in pics of your Demon Hunter tatoos. Very cool, very nice tats. One problem. One of the pictures is of a guy with a great Demon Hunter tat on his arm, but the guy is wearing an N'Sync T-shirt. Does anyone else see a problem with that. I'm all for listening to what you want, but wow - talk about two different extremes! Then again I still strongly feel that boy bands suck, but don't we all?

These guys are good. I like how it's not all shouting, like the song infected and the one after it. Even when there is shouting I can still hear what is being said if I pay attention. Not many new bands are this heavy. I also dig their tone.

Greetings,
I'm still having a problem with the N-Synch T-shirt and the Demon Hunter tatoo on the same body.
There's just something wrong with that..it isn't natural.

For me this band isn't a christian band.....Ok that's right,I don't like the music when there is somone who scream ! But it's not all!The man who have make the pictures of the album come from the Morbide Angel ...And it's not a christian ! This band is very dark!
You can play Metal, but when you make a song about the God's love, you can't work with strange people ....That's true I'm french so I can't understand all the lyrics, but when I have hear this album my first impression was "Hey!where is the God's love here?!" ...I'm sure there is a way to play metal and rock, and have a great music for God (the band Petra for exemple).

Sam you say" you can play metal but when you make a song about gods love you can't work with strange people" but what about all those christians who may not be working with in the music industry but never the less, if their bosses or work mates for that matter are not christian should they quit their jobs?

it sounds like you have a problem with style of music christian or non christian, perhaps you need to step away from it for a while till you feel stronger in christ, i've had to do the same thing a while back and it helped alot.

Greetings,
Don't trust everything you buy in a Christian bookstore... A couple of local bookstores here in Minnesota were selling those Bible Code books awhile back. I was quite shocked to find that kind of crap in a Christian bookstore.

christisalive you have 3 quotes(your favourites i'm guessing) the third one is interesting to me, r u an admirer of anton lavey or the church of satan, because it's seems (to me) strange to find inspiration in a quote for some one who promotes/ed a movement against God. i'm just curious.

Demon Hunter IS a Christian band... there are no doubts of that. I'm sorry if someone doesn't like real metal combined with a message (whether it's blatant or not) of Christ's love. Not everyone has to be Stryper... that's what makes each band special. (and don't get me wrong, I'm a HUGE Stryper fan)
Now, the one thing I WILL agree with is having a quote from Anton LeVey... dude, pick ANYONE but him. I know I've got my own demons to slay, so I'm not judging, just wanting you to be careful who you quote. We don't quote those we don't admire. Just sayin', that's all....

Greetings,
1. Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked
2. Do not complain about anything to which you need not subject yourself.
3. When in another's lair, show him respect or else do not go there
4. If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy
5. Do not make sexual advances unless you are given the mating signal
6. Do not steal (paraphrased)
7 is not relevant.
8. Do not complain about anything to which you need not subject yourself
9. Do not harm little children
10. Do not kill non-human animals unless you are attacked or for your food
11. When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him
There you have the eleven satanic rules of the earth, in an abridged form. I got my quote from www.personalsatan.com, and I'm not even sure if the site is still there....my web browser and work for some reason blocked any attempt to go there...lol.
After some time studying the Church of Satan, that Lavey founded, I realize they're really no worse than most of America. Yeah I know that last statement may really piss you off, but I still feel the statement is true. Satanists belonging to the Cos are a varied lot, but most that I've chatted with (and I've chatted with quite a few) are rather nice people. They worship Satan the same way Carl Sagan (world famous cosmologist) worshipped Satan, by not believing in God and worshipping their own body. They worship the creation rather than the Creator.
So why do they call themselves Satanists? Why call their group of like minded individuals a "church"?
The answer to both of those questions lies in Anton LaVey. He hated the hypocrisy of the mainstream Christian church, especially the Catholic Church. If you consider the times LaVey formed his opinions and what was going on in the world around him you may be more sympathetic towards his viewpoint. Do you really think a band like Demon Hunter would've been labeled "Christian" from 1955 to 1965, the time frame LaVey was founding the CoS? Think about the way mainstream "Christian America" was, and in some ways still is. LaVey hated the church.
In a way I pity him. Anton is probably going to burn in hell because he never bothered to actually find out about Jesus. I also wonder if anyone bothered to tell him who Jesus really was? Would he have hated the same man who ran the money changers out of the temple? If Jesus was walking the earth today instead of 2,000 years ago how many churches would he have to do that to?
Now don't get me wrong LaVey is in no way Jesus...far from it. However, regardless of LaVey's religion, or lack thereof, many of his gripes about the Christian church were true, and remain true to this day. I have many of the same gripes....but....I choose to love and worship Christ and effect change by making myself and my church a more holy place. The sinners belong in the church, because we're all sinners who have fallen short. Had LaVey bothered to read the Bible and open his heart to Christ he may have been able to see that.

I am going to have to respectfully(that's the only way to do it right!)disagree with you Christisalive, for your cos comparison to others in this country. If you look closely enough, you can find hypocrisy in any church, including my own. I was a catholic early in life, and found that the majority of people in that church are just like you and me;earnestly looking for God and truth. I also studied the cos(some of that stuff is fascinating)and my conclusions(just my opinion here)are that it seems the majority of people I talked to in the cos, are in it to justify their penchant for sex(and some deviant sexual practices)and to rebel against the norm. So many people are blind! The greatest rebel of them all is there waiting for them, but they refuse to see! Interesting stuff there my brother! God Bless! ps;Carl Sagan(one of my heroes, I love astronomy)became a Christian a couple of years before his death. In the end even he had to admit that somebody must have created this universe!
