Maybe, this subject has been brought up before... but, since I'm new to this site, it doesn't apply to me
I'd like to know what your top 10 favorite all-time Christian CDs are? The CDs can be soft / hard or any other style that you like.

Mine are:

1. In The Kingdom / Whitecross
2. Phil Keaggy / Phil Keaggy
3. High Gear / Whitecross
4. Scarecrow Messiah / Bride
5. Unveiled / Whitecross
6. Heart Like Thunder / Scott Wenzel
7. Snakes In The Playground / Bride
8. Rattle Your Cage / Barren Cross
9. Sunday's Child / Phil Keaggy
10. Justice / Steve Camp

It's a rarity to like 90% to 100% of the songs on a CD... but, that's why these CDs are on my list. On any day (depending on how I feel), some of these wouldn't be in my top 10 and instead ' Bottle Rocket / Guardian'.. or ' Sticks and Stones / Seventy Sevens'.. 'Consider The Cost / Steve Camp'.. 'Buzz / Guardian'.. 'Tales of Wonder / White Heart'.. ' Triumphant Return / Whitecross'.. etc. etc. etc... You probably feel the same way.

Dion DiMucci had some very good Christian songs.. I just don't remember the names or some of those would be on my list. His last CD was in 1986 when he had ' Velvet and Steel '. He had some very cool music. His others actually were released on casettes.

I'm interested in what your favorites are.. and maybe I might even check them out and get them for my collection if I don't already have them. I agree with Larry Norman when he said. " Why does the devil have to have all the good music?".. so lets give the devil some hell and see what your list is.

I would have to start with the album that introduced me to the most awesome metal I have ever known:

1 .Bride/Snakes in the Playground
2 .Whitecross/ Equilibrium
3. Deliverance/River Disturbance
4. King's X/Dogman
5. Galactic Cowboys/Machine Fish
6. GS Megaphone/Beautiful World
7. Bride/ Jesus Experience
8. Ark/Burn the Sun
9. Mortification/The Silver Cord is Severed
10. Tourniquet/Where Moth and Rust Destroy

That's just off the top of my head.  If I spent more time, I might be able to come up with a few that didn't come to mind immediately; but that 's what I've been in to for that last couple years.

I'm compiling my list by CDs I can put in anytime no matter how "outdated" the style and sing along and enjoy them.
Well, here goes ...

Veni Domine - Fall Babylon Fall (Beautiful both lyrically and musically)
Barren Cross - Atomic Arena (Powerful in your face metal)
Rage of Angels - Rage of Angels (Meloldic Metal at triple spped)
Transcendence - The Merideian Project (I know they're new and somewhat unkown, but they're incredible!)
Tourniquet - Microscopic View ... (The technoSpeed Metal fathers at there best)
Detritus - If But For One (Speed, brutality mixed with moments of slower bliss)
Seventh Angel - Lament for the Weary (More great stops and starts than city driving)
Bride - Silence is Madness (Haunting masterpiece by the Christian Rock mainstay)
Saint - Time's End (Black, dark, gloomy and thoroughly raw)
Sacred Warrior - Wicked Generation (Vocal brilliance tightly sewn with  miraculous musicianship)

There ya have it. There are so many more I didn't include like Stryper, Angelica, Deliverance, Rose, Shout, Visionaire, Whitecross, X-Sinner, etc.

I guess that's the problem with listening to Christian Metal for over 20 years (Geez, I'm getting old.)
See ya

Wow reading the list above me was like looking through my own cd collection.  Here are mine but to narrow to a concrete 10 is nigh on impossible for tomorrow I may change my mind.  several of these also have a very significant personal connection for me as well.  And now in no particular order other than the first one:

1.  PETRA - Not Of This World  I listened to this cassette tape and nothing else for the entire month of January
1992,  I got saved 2 FEB 92.  I know the message on that tape had alot to do with that AND it ROCKS!!!
2.  Guardian - Miracle Mile
3.  Rez Band - Between Heaven And Hell
4.  Skillet - Skillet
5.  Disciple - This Might Sting A Little
6.  Third Day - Third Day
7.  Tourniquet - Psycho Surgery
8.  Deliverance - Weapons Of Our Warfare
9.  Shout - At Their Very Best
10. John Michael and Terry Talbot - The Painter
there is a worship cd titled Rock The Flock and it ties in the top 10  if anybody reading this post has this cd I would like to buy it...my was destroyed in a car wreck and now it is no longer available.  It has a yellow and green cover
and then there are: Phil Keaggy, Jacob's Trouble, Christafari,  Altar Boys, Michael Card, Mark Heard, Joshua, Newsboys, Charlie Peacock, Whitecross, White Heart, Steve Curtis Chapman, T-Bone, Gospel Ganstas, Todd Agnew, VISUAL CLIFF, Out Of The Grey....and on and on and on and on.................

Wow the very top 10. This is tough. The top 5 I am pretty solid with though. So much great music. By no means is this all my favorite music.

1. Bride "Snakes in the Playground"
2. Stryper "To Hell with the Devil"
3. Messiah Prophet "Master of the Metal"
4. Holy Soldier - Self titled
5. Petra "This Means War"
6. Barren Cross "State of Control"
7. Red Sea "Blood"
8. Idle Cure "2nd Avenue"
9. Stryper "In God We Trust"
10. DeGarmo & Key "The Pledge"

Albums by U2 would normally be in my top 10. The Joshua Tree will always be my number 1. This is a pretty solid top 10 for me.

Here's a little suggestion... Check out Ebay... I find discontinued / out of print / hard to find Christian CDs on there a lot... and cheap. In fact, if you're talking about the CD by Messiah Prophet... there are 2 CDs on there. If it's another artist, I didn't see it...

:D Wow, found a place where my favorites seems to be everyone else's. Cool. Bride has to be one of the best Gospel Rock bands out there. Have you guys heard Soulfood? They're really good. Just wish I could find more of them though.

I have many CDs that are awesome but here are the CDs I can listen to all theway through and every track is good
(except "Hammer and Nail" has one clunker but the rest of the disc makes up for it)

Classic Metal...

10) Deliverance - Deliverance
9) Rage of Angels - Rage of Angels
8) Tourniquet - Stop the Bleeding
7) Messiah Prophet - Master of the Metal
6) Saint - Too Late for Living
5) Holy soldier - Holy Soldier
4) Whitecross - Hammer and Nail
3) Bloodgood - Detonation
2) Barren Cross - Atomic Arena
1) Stryper - To Hell with the Devil

Others...

10) Audio Adrenaline - Bloom
9) Rez - Ampendectomy
8) Rez - Innocent Blood
7) Third Day - Third Day
6) Guardian - Miracle Mile
5) Bride - Snakes in the Playground
4) Disciple - This might sting a little
3) Rez - Lament
2) Waterdeep - Live at the New Earth
1) Glenn Kaiser Band - GKB Live :D

I don't think there will ever be a cd to beat the GKB live. The guitar work is out of this world.

This order can change it's off the top of my head.

other notables

X-sinner - get it
Holy Soldier - Last Train
Rez - Civil Rights
Whitecross - whitecross
Barren Cross - Rock for the King and State of Control
Third Day - conspiracy no. 5
King's X - Gretchen goes to nebraska
Stryper - Soldiers under command
Tourniquet - Vanishing Lessons
Bloodgood - Out of the Darkness
